Shannon Considine welcomes patients of all ages, whether the reason for the choice of acupuncture is relief of symptoms or part of a general preventive wellness.

Whether you want preventive health care—to be the best you can be—or you have a condition to be treated, Shannon will spend time during the first visit to learn about you and your reason for choosing acupuncture.

After your interview, which includes both your health and personal history, Shannon will answer any questions you have and will explain acupuncture and what to expect during treatment.  You will also receive a treatment during your first visit.

Now you are probably asking, "What about the needles?"

The needles used to stimulate acupuncture points have no resemblance to "hypodermic needles."  The disposable needles are only slightly thicker than a human hair, and made of the highest quality, pre-sterilized stainless steel. 

Most insertions are just beneath the surface of the skin and most clients feel either nothing at all or a slight pinch.

Rest assured that Shannon will explain what she will do before doing anything so you are totally comfortable and know exactly what to expect.  For sure, you can count on leaving her treatment feeling more relaxed with a greater sense of peace.
